Student Health Assistant REPORTS TO:
District Nurse
Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent ? Ability to work independently and take direction ? Ability to work collectively with team members ? Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff ? Ability to adjust quickly to meet student needs ? Strong communication skills ? Physical abilities sufficient to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and/or lift ? Willingness to be trained in medical protocols for students ? Excellent attendance on assigned workdays ? Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality ? Previous medical training preferred ? CPR, AED, and first aid certification preferred
Responsibilities:
? Inventory district medications and authorization paperwork ? Administer student medications as prescribed ? Monitor expiration dates of stock medications ? Electronic entry of student health information ? Perform medical procedures with training from District Nurse ? Completion of AED inventory and monthly maintenance checks ? All other duties as assigned by the District Nurse SALARY/WAGES:
