The Handler and Kennel Assistant is responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of our canine and feline guests.
It is our top priority that staffers remain keenly aware of any health related concerns of the facility guests.
To ensure success as a Handler and Kennel Assistant, you should be able to anticipate and tend to the needs of animals.
Ultimately, a top-notch kennel attendant will be able to tailor their care according to animals' physical, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and attention to animals in the kennel facility - Clean kennels and other animal living areas as necessary - Accompanying and observation of animals when in the play spaces - Exercise and socialize animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being - Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to management - Assist incoming crew members with shift transition - Evacuating all animals if an emergency occurs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for animals will be advantageous - Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions consistently and accurately - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively - Physical stamina to perform lifting and manual labor as required Note:
This position may require occasional weekend or holiday work.
