Responsible for providing technical leadership, conducting high-level systems analysis, overseeing and performing systems design and development, and performing project management for the successful development and implementation of enterprise software solutions for SAP Business Objects. Oversees the transition of all components from conception to production by analyzing and identifying technical specifications, designing and testing code, coordinating system changes, monitoring project status, and supporting implementation requirements. The incumbent is responsible for identifying system efficiencies and designing engineering solutions for various IT projects. Also, effectively provides direction to programming staff as it relates to software development projects and maintains the primary relationships with the business users.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains expertise and responsibility for the development and implementation of a major enterprise BI Projects which significantly impacts business operations; manages and coordinates the interaction of auxiliary systems, identifies system deficiencies, and implements solutions.
Utilizes programming code, tools, and new technological trends to measure and increase application and programming efficiencies
Expertly utilizes Business Object development tools and maintains an expert level of programming languages and technologies. Also leads others to expertly leverage tools and technology.
Leads architecture development assignments and advises programmers and systems engineers in architecture disciplines.
Creates and maintains technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution, and writes and enforces coding standards.
Expertly manages client expectations and continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction by coordinating client needs with creative business solutions.
Leads internal teams and task forces, facilitates project team meetings, and mentors programmers with less experience.
Applies the standard development methodology process to all projects.
Seeks and participates in development opportunities and maintains knowledge in field of expertise.
Other Duties
Provides scheduled on-call 24x7 system support on a rotational basis.
May participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new technology.
Presents information to clients and peers.
Performs other special projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Successful completion of an analytical aptitude exam.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must live in a commutable distance to Mason, MI
Strong understanding of Business Objects 4.0 Application Architecture.
Strong understanding of information workflows.
Strong understanding of BO tools, including: Information Designer, Universe Designer, and Webi Rich Client.
Business Objects administration and server setup/configuration.
Thorough understanding of Security model and Access Controls for granting right level of access to different user groups.
Demonstrated data Warehouse / Business Intelligence design concepts & ETL tool experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead others through project implementations, development and system enhancement initiatives.
Ability to lead others through projects is preferred.
Ability to work with and manage massive amounts of data.
Strong analytical ability.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment to achieve desired results.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Education & Experience Required
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and/or education.

years of relevant experience required.
8
years of experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence utilizing Business Objects.
Financial services experience and professional insurance designations are preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
