The IT Capacity Planner II is responsible for infrastructure capacity planning and performance management. This includes conducting supply/demand, trend analyses and making proactive capacity planning recommendations to mitigate risk and rationalize the optimal amount of hardware, software and network resources to meet business needs, service level requirements and IT infrastructure growth capacity. The Capacity Planner ensures that capacity workload modeling and availability analysis is performed for a variety of platforms and environments.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, recommends, documents and supports tools and backend utilities to provide capacity planning management.
Serves as a subject matter expert to application development, systems administration and engineering and other technical and business staff in planning the resource requirements for systems under development.
Provides IT leadership with information on Capacity Management to include forecasts, actual reporting and analysis.
Developing and tracking statistics to improve the forecasting process.
Facilitates the development of policies to ensure that existing capacity is being used as efficiently as possible.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong SQL skills
Experience with mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
Expert level understanding of server, storage, network and data center infrastructure
Understanding of modern application architecture and development a good working understanding of SDLC methodology (AGILE)
Ability to create detailed infrastructure plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of distributed data center operations and planning
Knowledge of system performance analysis tools
Strong project management skills
Education and Experience Required
Bachelors Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field OR equivalent experience
4 or more years experience in infrastructure operations or systems development, required.
Experience in capacity planning and performance management in a large enterprise, preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
