The Packaging Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and modifying artwork to be printed on product packaging
Day-to-Day Role:
Assist in the development of layout and design for printed shipping carton graphics, printed film and bag graphics
Prepare final artwork for printed shipping carton graphics, printed film and bag graphics
Communicate with stakeholders and external sources associated with the development and production of packaging products
Create product illustrations
Complete special project artwork
Collaborate with teammates and project stakeholders to develop creative and effective solutions
Core Skills and
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Associate's degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, Illustration, Commercial Art, or related field of study
One (1) year of experience working on graphic design and layout
Six (6) months of experience using Adobe Illustrator software and Macintosh platform
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate to internal and external customers
Ability to exhibit creativity and flexibility when solving complex problems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
Ability to collaborate with team members
Preferred Skills and
Qualifications:
Familiarity with both spot color and four color process printing
