Compensation Manager

Are you looking for an opportunity to highlight your consultative skills while building relationships with executive leadership?
Our Compensation Manager will lead the design and delivery of cost effective, market competitive compensation programs to attract and retain employees for the long term. Specifically, the objectives of this role include introducing a new salary structure for our 30+ manufacturing and distribution locations across the country, contributing to the implementation of a new, cloud based Compensation Management tool and potentially growing our salary program internationally.
We need a self-motivated consultant to educate and influence managers and employees to support compensation goals. Experience with HRIS, ERP, market pricing and/or salary planning systems is needed and while supervisory experience is a plus, it is not required.
Other responsibilities include:
Interact regularly and collaborate with executives, managers, and HR to provide recommendations and solutions to the company's compensation programs and processes
Manage the annual compensation life cycle including market pricing, salary range development and review, salary budgeting, and administration of merit increases and bonuses
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and processes. Make recommendations which streamline processes and enhance the company's ability to hire and retain employees in a timely basis
Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal Compensation Manager candidate must possess all of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field
Five (5) years directly related compensation experience including base and/or incentive compensation design and administration
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, listening, and consultative skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships throughout the business
Excellent analytical and Excel skills, including the ability to review, analyze, and interpret data, write formulas, create pivot tables and graphs, and provide conclusions and recommendations based on analysis
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time domestically
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver?s license
Favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Two (2) years of supervisory experience
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Experience working in a large manufacturing company designing programs that span multiple business units globally

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
