Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer

As the Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead the development and implementation of cutting edge manufacturing and warehouse automation solutions.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Lead, manage, and facilitate multiple automation systems projects of large size, complexity, and long duration

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on advanced automation and material handling systems

  • Direct members of the project team including members from engineering, IT, logistics, and manufacturing

  • Use appropriate project management processes and tools to prepare project plans, schedules and work plans, estimate resources and costs

  • Develop detailed investment business cases for alternative proposals

  • Use modelling and simulation to analyze and demonstrate the capabilities and performance of proposed automation systems

  • Research, analyze, identify, evaluate, design, propose, implement, and document automation and technology solutions that affect products, processes, equipment, product flow, and/or logistics

  • Lead the installation, testing, and validation of automation systems

  • Develop, maintain, and share knowledge of advanced manufacturing and automation systems

Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:

    • Master's degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of related systems engineering experience

    • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and six (6) years of related systems engineering experience

    • Associate's degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and twelve (12) years of related engineering experience

  • Successfully managed and completed a large, complex automation system project

  • Knowledge of and experience using project management methodologies and software

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to successfully prioritize, and manage large, complex projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments

  • Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design of automated manufacturing and material handling solutions

  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications

  • Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

  • Advanced knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Strong verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes

  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestic and international

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
