Automation Project Engineer

Dart Container is seeking an Automation Project Engineer to manage projects for some of our most our recognizable lids, cups and dinnerware products. In this role you will identify, specify, and provide cost justifications for automation equipment, and help develop procedures for testing and implementing equipment.
Dart Container has the ability to hire at the Associate to Mid-Levels
Day-to-Day Role:
Develop knowledge of processes, equipment, raw materials, and products
Develop knowledge of project management methodologies and software
Develop project plan, schedules and work plans, estimating resources and costs, and tracking and reporting documents
Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables
Monitor progress of projects, identify problems impeding progress, and participate in their resolution
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential roadblocks or hurdles, and devise contingency plans to address these concerns
Participate in troubleshooting, analysis, evaluation, implementation, and documentation of engineering solutions that affect products, processes, components, assemblies, and/or equipment
Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information, draft reports, and improve equipment, processes, and products
Create test parameters and participate in the testing and implementation of engineering solutions / automation equipment
Identify broad conceptual ideas and develop them into useful solutions
Recommend continuous improvement plans to address efficiency, quality, safety, or service
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal Associate Project Engineer must possess all of the following:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study
Associate?s degree and six (6) years of project engineering experience
Ability to learn project management methodologies and software
Ability to learn and understand raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and/or other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks in both team and independent environments
Ability to travel up to 25% domestic and international
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver?s license and passport
The ideal Project Engineer must possess all of the following:
Requires one of the following:
Bachelor?s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of project engineering experience
Associate?s degree and nine (9) years of project engineering experience
Proven experience and success in analyzing production equipment, processes and materials, and solving issues
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and/or other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
Knowledge of and experience using project management methodologies and software
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
Ability to travel up to 25% domestic and international
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver?s license and passport
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree
Knowledge of thermoforming, injection molding, print, and/or paper equipment and processes

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
