Financial Analyst

The Product Analyst knows the company?s procedures and is able to complete tasks with little direction, apply logic and business sense, to help solve problems and generate ideas.
Day-to-Day Role:
Obtain accurate, detailed information required for a financial analysis and making a pricing decision
Accurately complete a financial analysis of our cost to produce and distribute the product; provide clear and concise written summary of the situation with pricing recommendations which incorporate logic and the company?s philosophies and strategies
Document pricing decisions
Work closely with specific national accounts, including completion of pricing analyses, investigation of quality issues, and other related projects
Prepare national account pricing analysis by completing financial analysis, pricing decisions, and documentation of decisions
Responsible for specific portions of the cost accounting system, which entail gathering of standard cost information, verification of information and cost calculations, and documentation of steps taken
Assist with the new product development process, including preparation of financial analyses to evaluate potential projects; review of desired product FAB (features, advantages, and benefits), drawings, prototypes, and production samples; direction and documentation of meetings on product development issues; coordinate with departments to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
Work closely with specific product lines and/or international markets, including completion of pricing analyses and recommendations for individual customers; analysis, recommendations, and implementation of decisions on marketing strategy issues such as product mix, market wide pricing, and packaging
Act as an interface between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence.
Provide analytical support to others in the department by completing a wide variety of special projects
May be involved in interviewing candidates for the department
May be involved and support the training of Associate Product Analysts
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Bachelor?s Degree with an emphasis in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field of study
One (1) year of work experience in a business administration, finance, marketing or related position
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, business letters and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize and solve problems, and implement solutions
Ability to demonstrate personal accountability, take ownership of work, and apply learned concepts
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures, and decisions
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
Ability to collaborate with team members
Ability to streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources and apply to projects
Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions
Up to 5% domestic travel
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver?s license

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
