Print Materials Technician

The Blanket Technician assists and supports blanket production, operation of equipment and movement of materials and goods by following batch ticket instructions to assist in the production process.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Comprehends and follows written instructions/work orders.
  • Completes batch tickets.
  • Ability to read an electronic scale display.
  • Weighs and mixes blanket components according to batch ticket instructions.
  • Operates blanket-manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to ovens, dispensing equipment, scales and bench micrometers.
  • Retrieves supplies from storage areas as needed to perform essential job functions.
  • Assists with materials inventory, and conducts materials counts.
  • Understands and respects all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment properly and maintains clean work area.
  • May be required to data enter if supervisor is unavailable.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • A high school diploma/equivalent
  • Six (6) months of experience working in manufacturing/production environment in the last two (2) years
  • Required to obtain valid Fork Truck license
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to fulfill responsibilities effectively with limited supervision
  • Must possess a teamwork orientation, as well as good dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
  • Must utilize equipment and tools needed to execute essential functions including electronic scales, barrel crane & barrel dolly, manual and electronic chain falls, ovens, fork truck, shop-vac, hand tools, and drum valves
  • Strong verbal and good written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and apply basic arithmetic including fractions and decimals

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience operating a Fork Truck

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
