Accounting Intern

Dart s 2019 Cost Accounting Intern will be directly involved in our product cost buildup that will ultimately improve our margins. The more accurate our product cost is, the more data the company has to make pricing decisions.

Our successful candidate will be currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior year of a related Bachelors program and will have completed coursework to cover Principles of Management Accounting and Accounting for Management Decision Making. To excel in this role, attention to detail and thriving on analytical work is key.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Junior or Senior student status currently working toward a Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • Completion of Principles of Management Accounting, and Accounting for Management Decision Making or similar course work
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e. g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
